The Supply Planning Manager is highly analytical and experienced in keeping track of inventory, anticipating demand, and suggesting purchases to ensure business continuity. The Supply Planning Manager should be able to identify and anticipate market trends and suggest purchases to maintain suitable stock levels. In addition, they must ensure that there is sufficient inventory without overcapitalizing on stock that isn't generating income.
Accountabilities:
- Manage the end-to-end supply chain process and continuously seek ways and develop tools to improve the process.
- Ensure accurate forecasting of stock requirements across the business ensuring stock levels are optimized in order to deliver the sales plan.
- Work with trading and marketing teams to ensure forecasts reflect changes in trade e.g. seasonality & events, new product launches and promotional activity.
- Lead inventory planning and coordinate replenishment with the Buyers.
- Analyze inventory for shortages and expiring components to reduce waste. Monitor and report inventory with respect to shelf life and target inventory levels.
- Develop best practice SOP’s for effective management of inventories, planning, master data management, planning systems and logic.
- Ensure the achievement of availability targets to meet customer and sales needs balanced with the requirement to minimize waste.
- Control inventory while protecting customer service through coordination with stock replenishment and operations.
- Identify areas to reduce costs and drive efficiencies through optimization of sourcing, vendor management, opportunity buys, commodity purchases and freight optimizations.
- Use analysis results to improve supply chain processes and performance.
- Leverage analytical insights to improve customer fill rates and inventory efficiency.
- Create, implement and monitor supply chain KPI’s to drive business improvements.
- Facilitate new product rollouts and coordinate product discontinuations with Procurement, Sales, and Marketing within the ERP environment.
- Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Procurement to ensure timeliness of information and data accuracy to avoid supply chain disruptions.
- Responsible for the timely aggregation and dissemination of reports and communications.
- Create inventory reports and present suggestions to the Director of Purchasing.
- Highlight potential supply risk and communicate with the Director of Purchasing.
- Analyze gaps and inconsistencies in the supply plan.
- Analyze and anticipate market trends for the best time to purchase inventory.
- Understand warehouse capacity planning.
- Works closely with IT to bring online new tools and support processes to drive efficiency into the supply planning process.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience working in logistics or supply chain management.
