Replenishment Buyer - Preferably Food Experience

The Replenishment Buyer is accountable for performing daily replenishment activities and adhering to RTW inventory management practices and performance objectives. Follow establish demand and supply lead time for your assign product categories.  Responsible for replenishing warehouse stock without exceeding warehouse capacity while maintaining required service level.  Verification of computer and actual stock prior to initiating purchase order to replenish warehouse stock.

Key Accountabilities:
 
  1. Responsible for placing timely orders that meet inventory management performance objectives and deliver smooth product flow to our retail outlets and our wholesale customers.
    1. Utilize replenishment systems variables (demand, supply lead time, & packaging, etc.) prior to initiating replenishing orders.
    2.  Double check forecasted quantities on orders outside of the normal quantities and communicates in a timely manner to your immediate supervisor to support smooth product flow.
    3. Communicates supply chain concerns and issues to your immediate.
 
  1. Responsible for adhering to the appropriate replenishment process in order to achieve best practice replenishment.
    1. Follows all revise departmental standardized operating procedures.
    2. Comply fully with the replenishment process.
    3. Review replenishments system database fields weekly, report any discrepancies identified to your supervisor.
    4. Pursues self-development opportunities to grow personal knowledge and capability with replenishment process best practices.
 
  1. Responsible for minimizing excess inventory or close dated inventory during the replenishing process.
    1. Monitors inventory to identify excess stock, dollar value, days of supply and close dated products.
    2. Work with suppliers, your immediate supervisor, receiving, and inventory clerks to address receiving and inventory issues in a timely and cost-effective method.
    3. Identifies causes of receiving issues and recommend corrective action to your immediate supervisor.
 
  1. Responsible for collaborating with vendors, suppliers, and receiving in order to minimize receiving discrepancies.
    1. Ensure invoices for goods are matched to purchase orders immediately upon receipt of invoice.
    2. Ensure all receiving discrepancies identified at receiving are submitted to vendor or insurance claims in a timely manner.
    3. Differentiate promotional sales from regular sales in order to minimize excessive or under ordering.

  • Achieves required objectives against an established performance objective.
  • Provides smooth product flow that meets receiving performance objectives.
  • Utilizes forecasting systems to maintain require service levels for assigned categories.
  • Accomplishes essential job responsibilities in accordance with established standard operating procedures.
  • Replenishes warehouse stock timely and accurately.
Establishes positive business relationship with internal and external customers

Desired Skills & Experience:
  • Must read, write and speak English fluently. 
  • Must have a minimum 2 years experience in Purchasing.
  • Possess good verbal communication, basic math and high-level computer skills for database management and report generation.
  • Ability to problem-solve, plan ahead, and work independently and in a team environment.
  • General knowledge of retail product warehouse and merchandising.

• Primarily computer work; able to sit or stand in one place for long periods of
  time
• Open area office environment

Reports To: Replenishment Manager
